I believe that as a teacher, my role is to facilitate student learning and inspire each and every child to become a socially competent and responsible citizen, a life long learner and ultimately, the best person that they can possibly be. I myself have a passion for learning, and I want to share that passion for learning with my students. I understand that not all children learn the same, and will endeavour to provide a variety of meaningful learning experiences that cater to individual student’s needs and interests.

!!!WHAT I THINK!!!
A teacher/parent partnership is very important when it comes to student learning. Most of the time both the parent and the teacher want what’s best for the student. I believe that as long as we can demonstrate that we genuinely care, and we are willing to take the time to talk to them about their child honestly, we can create a successful learning partnership with the parent too.The relationship you form with other teachers is priceless. They share the same passion for children and education, and for a graduate teacher they are a wealth of knowledge. They can help you out with lesson plans and units of work or advice on classroom management, and hopefully, you can return the favor one day. Having positive relationships with other teachers has a positive impact on your students. The behavior you model when you interact with your colleagues should mirror the behavior you expect to see from your students when they interact with each other.
I set high expectations for myself and for my students, and believe that this encourages students to achieve their fullest potential.
I subscribe to the constructivist view of teaching and learning, which highlights the importance of scaffolding student learning, and sees learning as a partnership between the student at the teacher. It encourages teachers to make learning relevant and achievable by identifying their students' pre-existing skills, knowledge, interests and experiences, which then enables us to help our students learn new skills.
I understand that it is only possible to create a positive learning environment by developing constructive relationships with students, their parents, and other staff. Developing a rapport with our students is crucial when it comes to fostering a positive learning environment. It decreases the likelihood of any major classroom management issues, and it allows us to model the kind of professional relationships our students can expect to form with colleagues in the future. I value each student’s opinions and beliefs. I show them the same respect that I would want from them, and my expectations of students are always clear, consistent, and fair.
